Ella, Sri Lanka
Ella is one of the best tourists attractions in Sri Lanka. As the town is located about 1,041 meters above the sea level the climate is quite comfortable with the cool breeze. The surrounding view is fascinating with hilltops covered by cloud forests.
Greenish color covered hills with Ceylon Tea plantations is always a refreshing and attractive sight to see. If you visit in the morning you will be able to see the women plucking tea leaves by walking through those plantations.

Things to do in Ella
Ella Rock Hike
Ella rock is just 2 Km away from Ella town. You can hire a local guide from Kithal Ella (The starting place of the Hiking) to guide you through the hike. There are a few routes that you can select to climb, some are difficult but brings you fascinating scenarios. If you are not an experienced hiker then better to choose the easiest way up. So before you start your hike talk to your guide and let him know about your hiking experience so he will tell you the best route.
Little Adam’s Peak
Adam’s Peak Or “Sri Pada” is one of the most beautiful mountains in Sri Lanka. Also, it is a sacred mountain for Buddhist people, as it is considered as having Lord Buddha’s footprint.
Little Adam’s peak is given its name as it is very identical to Adam’s Peak but with lower hight. It will take around 3 hours to climb up to the summit. It is better to climb to the summit in the early morning so you will be able to see the sun rising over the hills making a never forgettable view.
There are many waterfalls around Ella town. Among those, Ravana Ella waterfall is the closest one and if you can go a bit far then you can visit Diyaluma waterfall and Duwili Ella Fall as well.
